FUNDS - Rita & Michael’s Fund for Children

The Fund was established in memory of Rita and Michael von Castelberg Russ who were two of the first people to respond to the needs of Romanian children after the Revolution in December, 1989. In fact, Michael was in Timisoara, the town where important events occurred that triggered off the Revolution, distributing essential supplies within five weeks of the uprising. Together they made many trips to Romania, helping poor and orphaned children in towns and villages.
